Some companies require a minimum number of days notice before they set up or cancel your utilities. Always check with your utility provider to see what their policies are.

Water, Sewer and Garbage: City of Airdrie 948-8859
The City of Airdrie requires that this account stay in the landlord's name. Green Concept Property Investments collects $70.00 to $90.00 per month along with the rent in order to cover this cost. At the end of the lease or the end of each year (whichever comes first), the landlord and the tenant agree to settle the difference, which is usually only a few dollars. That way, you are only paying for the water you actually use.
